Philomena completed a rotating internship in New Zealand then followed her passion for anaesthesia to Western Australia where she worked in the anaesthesia department of Murdoch University from 2015-2018. During this time she became a Member (by examination) of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Philomena has particular interests in locoregional anaesthesia and perioperative pain management, but her favourite aspect of her role as a clinical anaesthetist at MVS is being able to provide a tailored anaesthetic period for each patient according to their individual needs.
